I didn’t check in last week. I didn’t have a bad week, there wasn’t much to report. I was down most of the week, but chips & salsa the night before weigh in and TOM don’t seem to mix so well.
That brings me to this week. The scale gods loved me this week. I blew past 20 lbs lost for the year as well as 10% lost. I’m also nearly at my Labor Day goal of 25 lbs lost for the year. I only have .6 lbs to go which I should easily achieve by Labor Day.
There wasn’t any magic or anything special to this week. In fact I didn’t even count my calories. Don’t you hate when people say that? We are currently trying to eat through the food we have on hand before buying new stuff. We are completely out of salty snacks. The only snacks or desserts we are getting are whatever I’m making from scratch. We also haven’t ordered or ate out. I took a break from calorie counting about 2 months ago and then finally broke under 200 lbs. I think the occasional break is actually good for me.
I’ll probably go back to calorie counting, but I won’t be as strict about it in August. We have a lot going on which seems like just about every weekend we have people coming in from out of town to visit. And then for Labor Day weekend we are heading to Ohio for a long weekend with my husband’s family.
I’m definitely breaking out the Jillian Michaels videos in August. I haven’t worked out regularly since May. I’ve spent way too much time sitting on my behind so that is going to have to change.
